Thought Control is a Reality in Arizona

Just reading a bit from the Christian Science Monitor and reported by Truth-out.
2011 meet your brave new world.

The law bans classes that promote the overthrow of the United States government and resentment toward a race or class of people. Also outlawed are courses designed primarily for students of a particular ethnic group and those that advocate ethnic solidarity rather than treat students as individuals.

How do we, in a free and open society, make the study of ANYTHING illegal?? Is this about immigration, or is it about the continued attack on our personal freedom? Apparently, many Americans no longer understand what personal freedom means. Do you understand how the principles enshrined in our founding documents must be applied in order to protect our liberty?

Of all the words I quoted in the above description of the Arizona law in question, the basic premise that must be fought with all our strength is the fact that "the law bans classes." We can discuss, debate, explore, expose, protest, advocate to our wits end all the issues surrounding immigration, racism, economic and security policy. Yes, of course.

But how can any American with a shred of respect for our constitution and open society think that it is allowable to ban a scholarly study or academic course? Arizona's elected officials are literally legislating thought control. Think about it, while you still can.
